20 09 2006Being a long time Debian user I got used to using the su command when I wish to run as root. Ubuntu uses sudo by default. To enable su, type in the terminal # sudo passwd root , you’ll be prompted for a new unix password. Now you can use the su command to run as root.

Fixing No Space Left On Device Error in Ubuntu Linux
19 09 2006I have written my experience in fixing “No space left on device” error message in Ubuntu Linux. The error prevented me from logging into regular GNOME sessions. I had to use Failsafe terminal mode to find and fix the problem. I digged it under the impression that it’ll help digg users.
