The Gkrellm package that comes with Slackware 12.2 doesn’t have the i8k plugin but installing it is simple. First compile i8kutils then i8krellm . Now from the command line /sbin/modprobe i8k force=1. Make sure to run gkrellm once before doing a make install of i8krellm in order to create the needed folders.
