This works with youtube and dailymotion and I asume others. The tools I use are ffmpeg and unplug. The basic idea is to download the .flv file to your desktop using “unplug” which is a firefox extention with a dual license (gpl and cc). Then run ffmpeg from the command line. It’ll look like this #ffmpeg -i *.flv rms.mpg. I call the file rms just for example. That should produce a file you can play with totem. With youtube/google I had to use .avi instead of .mpg.

Since gok is still broken I needed a replacement. xvkbd is a virtual (graphical) keyboard program for X Window System. I’ve been using it for a few months. It’s in the gNewSense repository.

found this book on Project Gutenberg. It looks interesting, I have’nt read but a few pages.
It’s a text file format {.txt}. I like to open .txt files of this sort with the OpenOffice.org Word Processor and then export it as a a .pdf file.
I then read it with Gnome Pdf Viewer. Here’s a sample,
